Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities include daily living support, transportation when needed, progress documentation, and maintaining a safe environment; requires English proficiency, 18+, and a driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active driver’s license and TB screening.
• CPR/FA certification required.
• NCI/CPI training.
• Excellent communication and English proficiency.
• Experience with individuals with IDD is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities.
• Document observations and progress on goals and ensure a safe environment.
