Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Pennsylvania is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in home and community settings. You will support health, safety, and daily living activities, promoting independence and preferred goals under an Individual Support Plan.

The role requires excellent communication, a valid CPR card, state health screening, and PA certifications (nurse license or CNA or home health aide). Training is provided.

Qualifications

• English literacy and writing Proficiency.
• Successful completion of Direct Care Worker Competency evaluation.
• Current CPR card.
• Current Health Screening per PA state requirements.
• Proof of PA nursing license or PA CNA certification or Home Health Aide certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client’s health, wellness and safety.
• Promote independence in activities of daily living.
• Crisis prevention and intervention.
• Maintain detailed, compliant documentation on client status and interactions.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, and exploitation immediately.
• Support person-centered services per Individual Support Plan.
