Job summary

Unity Bay in Moncks Corner, SC is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a full-time, 36-hour week role. Paid orientation of 7 days is required before starting at a residential or day program site.

The DSP will provide support, supervision, and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Community Training Home, helping them gain independence and safety. The schedule includes Monday/Tuesday 10p-10a and Saturday 10a-10p.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid South Carolina Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required.
• No prior experience required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, supervision, and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Community Training Home (CTH).
• Maintain professionalism and follow agency policies; treat individuals and coworkers with dignity and respect.
• Support individuals to achieve personal outcomes and a high quality of life; promote a safe, abuse-free environment.
• Assist with daily living tasks, meals, and activities; document ISPs and behavior programs.
• Complete and submit required documentation (ISPs, MARs, logs) and communicate changes to supervisors.
• Safely transport individuals to activities, appointments, and outings; operate agency vehicles as trained.
• Support budgeting, receipts, and simple financial transactions for individuals.
• Attend meetings and participate in ongoing training to support agency mission.
