Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. in Upper St. Clair, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care at Southern Highlands House.

This full-time, on-site DSP role supports individuals with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges in a home-like setting. Shifts are full-time (40 hours) with a 6am–2pm schedule, 40 hours per week. The position offers a $19.25/hr wage and a $2,000 sign-on bonus, plus two weeks of paid training and a comprehensive benefits package after

• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes.

• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Medication administration.
• Other duties as assigned.

Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals' to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.

Shifts available:

Full Time- 40 hours

6am - 2pm Monday - Friday

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable means of transportation
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions
• Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening
• Experience is not required!

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
