Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Uniontown, PA to provide exceptional care to residents with complex needs.

This hourly non-exempt role offers a new wage of $19.25 per hour and a $2,000 sign-on bonus, with full-time shifts rotating through 7am-3pm and longer shifts as described. Responsibilities include individualized care, daily living support, meal assistance, transportation, and personal hygiene.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver\'s license required.
• Must pass Background, Physical, and Drug screening.
• Experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.

• Medication administration.
• Other duties as assigned.

Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals' to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.

House Name:

Location:

Uniontown, PA 15401

Shifts available:

Full Time- 40 hours

Week 1: 7am - 3pm Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Week 2: 7am - 3pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 7am - 11pm Saturday

Week 3: 7am - 11pm Sunday, 7am- 3pm Monday, Friday and Saturday

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Contributions:

• Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene
• Housekeeping duties as needed
• Medication Administration
• Other duties as assigned

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
