Job summary

First Resources Corp. is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Residential Services team in Bloomfield, Centerville, and Albia.

You will support individuals in daily living activities, mobility, and community involvement, helping them achieve greater independence. This part-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to cover varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and fill in as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily activities such as shopping, errands, hygiene, and medication administration.
• Assist with mobility needs including transfers and use of a Hoyer lift.
• Help clients achieve personal goals like cooking, cleaning, and social integration.
• Transport clients to appointments and community events.
• Follow and document progress on Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs).
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members.
