Job summary

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Begin a career with a leading in-home care provider and earn $13–$15 per hour with weekly pay.

As a DSP, you’ll deliver one-on-one support, helping clients live as independently as possible, with flexible part-time and weekend shifts, paid training, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and required training.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance (primary or secondary).
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.
• Preferred: experience with individuals with I/DD and/or autism; ASP/PSS experience.
• Preferred: experience using behavior-support strategies like redirection and visual prompting.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal care, transportation).
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Document care, activities, and progress; communicate with team to ensure quality support.
