Job summary

Abound Health in Titusville, NJ is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to provide hands-on care, assist with daily living activities, and support community participation for individuals with IDD.

You will build positive relationships, help with meals, hygiene, and household tasks, and participate in training and career growth. Starting pay ranges from $23 to $33 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus for averaging 20+ hours/week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships and supporting individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Supporting individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Using adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encouraging independence and helping individuals develop new skills
• Monitoring health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicating with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Completing documentation and maintaining schedules
• Completing in ongoing training and professional development
