Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Chester, NJ. Starting pay ranges from $23 to $33 per hour, plus a $1,000 signing bonus contingent on 20+ hours/week, paid in installments.

Roles include assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support. Flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid training, and growth opportunities are offered within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to help individuals build independence at home, in the community, and in the workplace.
• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
