Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Somerset, NJ. DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live independently and with dignity.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required; paid training provided

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to help individuals build independence at home, in the community and in the workplace
• Build positive relationships and help clients achieve personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene and household tasks
• Support participation in community activities, employment and social events
• Monitor health and safety and maintain a supportive environment
• Complete documentation and schedule management; participate in ongoing training and development
