Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Titusville, NJ. The role involves assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to promote independent living.

Starting pay ranges from $23/hour (non-acuity) to $33/hour (acuity), with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments after meeting hour thresholds.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to help individuals build independence at home, in the community, and at work.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help clients develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
