Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Cranford, NJ, to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. Start pay ranges from $23/hour (non-acuity) to $33/hour (acuity) with a $1,000 signing bonus paid after meeting hours thresholds.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, with paid training, flexible schedules, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required—paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
