Job summary

Abound Health in Salisbury, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. Join a mission-driven team and help clients live more independently through meaningful activities and adaptive assistance.

As a DSP, you will build relationships, assist with meals, hygiene, community participation, and documentation. Flexible part-time schedule (21 hours/week), weekly pay, paid training, and a $1,000 signing bonus underscoring

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and external parties as needed
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
