Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Southport, NC. Duties include ADL assistance, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

The role offers flexible schedules, paid training, weekly pay, and growth opportunities. A $1,000 signing bonus is available, with an equal focus on team collaboration and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Experience with disabilities not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
• Offer flexible schedules (full-time and part-time).
