Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hampstead, NC. The DSP role involves ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, with paid training and growth opportunities.

The position offers flexible schedules (full-time and part-time), weekly pay, a $1,000 signing bonus, and opportunities for advancement. Prior caregiving experience is not required, as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
