Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across the state. DSPs will work one-on-one, following each person’s ISP, to promote independence and daily living success.

Responsibilities include one-on-one in-home and community support, helping with daily living activities, communicating with the care team, and building trusted relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP.
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support.
