Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental or other behavioral health disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals you support.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with meal preparation, household chores, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Administer medications as directed and support medical appointments and treatment plans.
• Assist with mobility, walking, transfers, and use of mobility aids to ensure safety.
• Implement behavioral and emotional support strategies and provide reassurance to promote independence.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities and foster community involvement.
• Communicate effectively to help individuals express needs and advocate for services.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and maintain accurate daily notes and progress reports in electronic systems.
