Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in New York to help individuals with developmental disabilities live independently in their homes and communities. The role requires compassion, reliability and a commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A valid New York State driver’s license with 1 year of driving experience required, must be comfortable operating a large vehicle.
• Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental or other behavioral health disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure life safety, care and well-being of people served; promote independence, dignity and growth.
• Administer or monitor self-administration of medications; document in EMAR where applicable.
• Operate agency vans/vehicles per policy and drive as needed.
• Provide ADL support (bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, transfers) and accompanying individuals to activities.
• Document progress, incident reports and daily logs; communicate with team and supervisors.
