Job summary

WellLife Network in New York is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care, advocacy, and community integration for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, health maintenance, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency is required.
• Fluent English for client communication.
• A NY State driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience is required for driving positions.
• Comfort operating a large vehicle for driving positions.
• Experience with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals served.
• Assist with daily living activities and help build community connections.
• Administer medications as directed and support health/wellness routines.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe navigation of environments.
• Support behavioral and emotional needs with respectful strategies.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Document daily notes, progress reports, and other required records in electronic systems.
