Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals in Westchester County locations, including Rye Brook, Port Chester, and Mamaroneck. The DSP will help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, love, work, and learn in their communities.

We offer both full-time and part-time positions with weekday and weekend schedules, including mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Empathetic, patient and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Provide supervision, safety, and support following individualized plans.
• Document services and progress in health records.
• Support communication, socialization, and community engagement.
