Job summary

Waypoint is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support members by modeling healthy relationships and promoting independence. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and a safe, supportive environment in residences or programs, working with a team and coordinating with guardians and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must become DSP, CRMA and Safety Care certified as a primary responsibility of the DSP position.
• Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence and clean driving record.
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Develop a rapport with residents and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship.
• Provide support and guidance for members during skills building activities.
• Implement individual treatment plans and positive support plans for members.
• Assist with daily living activities including meals, cleaning and personal hygiene.
• Transport residents in approved vehicles for activities and medical appointments.
• Ensure safety and privacy, follow licensing and Waypoint policies.
