Waypoint is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role involves supporting members in developing healthy relationships, communicating effectively, and fostering independence.

You will assist members with daily activities, implement treatment plans, ensure safety, and maintain confidentiality. The DSP will also promote health and wellness through various programs and participate in community outreach.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Willingness to implement structured activities.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsabilités

• Develop rapport with residents and build supportive relationships.
• Support members during skills building activities.
• Implement individual treatment plans and positive support plans.
• Encourage self-help skills by assisting with daily living activities.
• Mentor healthy choices and enhance overall wellness.
• Transport residents for activities and appointments.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality for all members.
• Collect accurate data and report on member progress.
