Help at Home is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. The DSP helps clients live safely, independently, and with dignity.

The role offers competitive pay of $18-$20 per hour, flexible scheduling, paid training, benefits, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. Mileage reimbursement is available for eligible travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State-approved training program completion.
• Passing score on the required written competency test.

Responsabilités

• Read, understand, and follow each individuals Individual Support Plan.
• Report updates, progress, and concerns to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in shopping, social events, appointments, and other community activities.
• Support individuals toward personal goals and greater independence.
• Promote personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity, and respect.
• Accurately documenting services, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to provide consistent, high-quality support.
