Job summary

KenCrest in Western Montgomery County is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Roles include caregiving and life coaching, promoting independence, choice, and community involvement.

The position offers full-time and part-time opportunities with rotating weekends and various shifts (day, evening, overnight). New hires complete a two-week paid orientation covering medication administration, MANDT, and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (2 years’ driving experience) required.
• Pass background checks and drug screening as per state requirements.
• Ability to understand, speak, read, and follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as caregiver and life coach to promote independence.
• Assist with daily living activities (personal care, meals, medication administration, outings, shopping).
• Support communication and self-expression, accompany to community activities.
• Complete required documentation (incident reports, charts, medical forms).
