Job summary

KenCrest is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Western Montgomery County. The role emphasizes independence, choice, and community involvement, acting as a caregiver and life coach.

Earn a special $18.00/hour rate at this pilot location. The position offers paid two-week orientation and mandatory trainings, including CPR/First Aid, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening per state requirements.
• Ability to understand, speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a caregiver and life coach to promote independence.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meals, medication administration, social outings, and shopping.
• Support individuals with communication and self-expression.
• Complete general housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Help individuals work toward their personal goals and participate in community activities.
• Complete required documentation such as incident reports, behavioral data, seizure charts, and medical visit forms
