Job summary

KenCrest is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Eastern Montgomery County. The role combines caregiving and life coaching to promote independence, choice, and community involvement.

You will act as a caregiver and life coach to help individuals reach personal goals. All new DSPs undergo a mandatory two-week paid orientation during the first two weeks, including trainings like Medication Administration, MANDT, and

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to understand, speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to work as a caregiver and life coach to promote independence and community involvement.
• Willingness to perform daily activities and documentation as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a caregiver and life coach to promote independence.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meals, medication administration, outings, and shopping.
• Support individuals with communication and self-expression.
• Complete general housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Help individuals work toward personal goals and participate in community activities.
• Complete required documentation such as incident reports, behavioral data, seizure charts, and medical visit forms.
