Job summary

Life's New Beginning is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate direct care and mentor individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential settings in York, PA. You will teach daily living skills, promote health and safety, and assist with community activities to foster independence.

We value patience, reliability, and teamwork. Positions include flexible scheduling with opportunities to advance, and a starting wage of $21–$22 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid PA driver's license.
• 2 years driving experience.
• Schedules may include day, evening, weekend, and overnight hours.
• Background check required.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Complete required trainings (CPR, First Aid, Med Administration, Safe Crisis Management).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support.
• Teach daily living skills (cooking, self-care, hygiene, laundry, cleaning, shopping).
• Promote health and safety skills, social skills, and relationship building.
• Support individuals in community, social, recreational, and leisure activities.
• Serve as a mentor to foster independence.
