Life's New Beginning in York, PA is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care and teach daily living skills, health and safety, social skills, and independence-building in residential and community settings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid PA driver's license.
• 2 years driving experience.
• Schedules may include day, evening, weekend, and overnight hours.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Participate and successfully complete required training (includes but not limited to CPR, First Aid, Med Administration, Safe Crisis Management).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and teach daily living skills (cooking, self-care, hygiene, laundry, cleaning, shopping).
• Teach health and safety skills, social skills, and relationship-building skills.
• Support individuals in the community and during social, recreational, and leisure activities.
• Serve as a mentor to encourage independence and responsible decision-making.
