Job summary

Access Services in Orwigsburg, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional for our Day Program. You will provide personalized supports to adults with developmental disabilities to help them maintain or increase independence and live their best lives.

The role involves weekday 8:00AM-4:00PM shifts at the program location in Orwigsburg, with responsibilities including ISP implementation, documentation, and fostering a supportive environment that supports individual goals and inclusion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background checks, physical exam and driving history record required.
• 1+ year direct care experience preferred.
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Community Participation Supports within six months will be provided.
• Valid US driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Individual Support Plan (ISP) for each participant.
• Record daily service notes and documentation as assigned.
• Help ensure high quality of care to individuals.
• Establish a secure, positive environment.
• Facilitate inclusion in community through activities.
• Promote independence in daily living, learning, leisure, and volunteer opportunities.
