Job summary

Access Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional for our Day Program in Lehighton, PA. This full-time role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities, personal care, and community inclusion.

You will implement care plans, assist with medications as trained, and document progress while maintaining a professional, compassionate approach. A valid driver’s license and vehicle are preferred for community activities.

Qualifications

• Must meet background checks, physicals, and clearances.
• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Community Participation Supports for DSP within six months of hire will be paid for.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Implement ISP and Nursing Care Plans when applicable.
• Administer medications as trained and ensure safety at all times.
• Promote independence and community inclusion through activities and outings.
• Document progress and communicate with management and families.
