Job summary

ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC in Syracuse, NY is seeking a part-time DSP to support a 19-year-old male in community activities after school and in the home. The role involves engaging in activities he enjoys, like horses and sports, and fostering independent participation in daily events.

Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. Hours are Monday through Friday 4pm–6pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am–5pm, in the Syracuse area as a part-time per diem position. EOE.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

He enjoys horses, eating, watching concerts, playing and watching sport events, and playing baseball as this is his favorite hobby.

The ideal candidate happy young man, and is willing to explore new things in the community.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.
