Job summary

The Arc of San Diego in El Cajon is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with disabilities in a day center setting. You’ll help clients build independence, participate in meaningful activities, and develop essential life skills in a supportive environment.

This full-time role offers Mon-Fri 8:30a-3p, with pay $20.00 to $20.65 per hour, plus benefits and ongoing training. A high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of relevant experience are required, along with a valid

About the Role:

We are hiring a Direct Support Professionals to support adults with disabilities in a day center setting. In this role, you’ll help clients build independence, engage in meaningful activities, and develop essential life skills in a supportive environment.

Location: El Cajon

Schedule: Mon- Fri 8:30a-3p

The pay for this position is $20.00 to $20.65.

A typical day will include:

• Supporting clients in learning life, social, and personal care skills

What you’ll need to be successful:

• High school diploma or GED
• Six (6) months of experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

We’d love it if you:

• Have experience with case management systems (Therap preferred)
• Are bilingual in English and Spanish
• Have previous experience in a caregiving or teaching role
