The Arc of San Diego is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Aide in Chula Vista to provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in both day programs and residential settings. You will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help individuals achieve their goals and independence.

Ideal candidates are patient, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to provide person-centered support respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, meals, and mobility support.
• Encourage participation in daily activities and community outings.
• Help individuals build relationships and develop independence.
• Document daily activities and progress using case management software.

About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a positive impact? As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Aide, you’ll provide hands‑on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in both day programs and residential settings. Working closely with a team, you will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help individuals achieve their goals and enhance their independence.

Location: Chula Vista

Pay: The pay for the position is $18.00 to $18.65.

Schedule: Mon- Fri 8:30-3p

A typical day will include:

• Assisting individuals with personal care, meals, and mobility support.

• Helping individuals build relationships and develop independence.
• Documenting daily activities and progress using case management software.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to provide person-centered support in a respectful and inclusive way.

We’d love it if you:

• Are bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Have experience using case management systems (Therap preferred).
