Job summary

Dungarvin inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered care for individuals with IDD. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and document progress according to ISPs and program guidelines.

The role is full-time with varied schedules, including some weekends/holidays. We offer comprehensive benefits, mileage reimbursement, paid training, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Willingness to assist individuals with ADLs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, household tasks, meals, budgeting and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Promote independence and life skills development.
• Support ISPs goals and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes to supervisors and team.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities.
• Complete timely electronic documentation.

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assistwith activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals andobjectivesoutlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Completeaccurateandtimelyelectronic documentationin accordance withprogram and regulatory requirements.

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness toassistindividuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability tolift upto 50lbs
