Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to work in Minnesota. You will provide direct support to individuals with IDD, assist with daily living activities, and help promote independence in a supportive, respectful setting.

This full-time position offers a fixed starting rate of $18.50 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities. You may work varied schedules including weekends and holidays, and you will document progress in required records.

Qualifications

• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assistwith activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals andobjectivesoutlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Completeaccurateandtimelyelectronic documentationin accordance withprogram and regulatory requirements.

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness toassistindividuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability tolift upto 50lbs
