Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will work directly with people, support daily living activities, promote independence, and document progress in accordance with ISPs and regulations.

This position offers a fixed starting rate of $18.50 per hour, weekend and holiday shifts, comprehensive benefits for full-time staff, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, mileage

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, household tasks, meal prep, shopping, budgeting, appointments, and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in meeting ISPs and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation per program and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assistwith activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals andobjectivesoutlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Completeaccurateandtimelyelectronic documentationin accordance withprogram and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability tolift upto 50lbs
