Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, person-centered supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll assist with daily living, participate in community activities, and help clients achieve ISP goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and ADLs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in ISPs and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness toassistindividuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability tolift upto 50lbs
