Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support Children, Teens and Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Wake, Durham, Chatham and Orange Counties.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, mileage support, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement through BAYADA programs. You’ll work one-on-one in clients' homes and communities, helping them live more independent lives.

Qualifications

• Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• RBT/BT/para-professional or teacher experience preferred.
• Willingness to participate in apprentice programs if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming).
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and activities.
• Engage clients in hobbies and community activities.
• Assist with meals and daily tasks as needed.
• Support client independence and safety at home.

Qualifications for Our Support Professionals:

• One year experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training may be available through our apprentice program)
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Ability to provide clients with transportation to and from appointments, errands and community outings
• Experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), Behavioral Technician (BT), Paraprofessional or Teacher/ Teaching Assistant highly preferred but not required

Compensation & Schedule:

• Pay Rate: $16/hr
• Weekly pay
• Flexible scheduling (part-time, various shifts)
• Short commute times (we try to match opportunities within 30 minutes near your home)
• Options for mileage reimbursement

$500 SIGN-ON BONUS

• $100 — Complete onboarding & orientation
• $100 — Work your first 40 hours
• $300 — After working 100 hours

In This Role, You Will:

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Provide clients with transportation on errands, appointments and community outings
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
