EON, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Litchfield, MN, offering part-time afternoon and overnight positions with flexible scheduling, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals (DSP) provide care to individuals served in our community.
• Assist individuals with dressing, grooming, hygiene and daily living activities
• Assist with bedtime routines, medications and physical therapy as required
• Support independent living skills such as routines, meal prep, cooking and budgeting
• Help individuals participate in community activities and recreational events

Schedule: Part-time afternoon and overnight positions available with flexible scheduling ( i ncludes every other weekend ) .

A DSP must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. As a DSP you must have the ability to exercise flexibility and assertiveness, have a positive work ethic, problem solve, and navigate challenging situations effectively. A DSP must also be able to work without direct supervision.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license and pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Must not be disqualified by criminal background studies.
• Meet the physical requirements as outlined in the physical assessment form (pushing/pulling, lifting, bending, etc.).
• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to document information electronically.

Residential Services:

• Assisting individuals with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and other daily living functions.
• Assisting individuals with bedtime routines, administering medications, physical therapy, etc.
• Supporting and teaching individuals independent living skills i.e.: routines, meal prep, cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, proper hygiene, medications, appointments, shopping, etc.
• Assisting individuals in accessing the community and participating in recreation and leisure activities.
• Assisting to resolve challenging situations as they arise.
