Job summary

The Community Supports Network in Omaha, Nebraska seeks Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live independently and safely in their communities. This entry-level healthcare role offers paid training and growth opportunities, with no prior experience required.

You will assist with daily living activities, transportation, personal care, and documentation, in residential and community-based settings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Reliable vehicle for transportation during shifts.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Ability to complete job-related training and certifications.
• No degree or prior experience required. Paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and household routines.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and medication support according to training and care plans.
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, work, errands, and community activities.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, hobbies, and personal interests.
• Support individuals in learning life skills, job skills, and community participation.
• Complete habilitation activities and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow all health, safety, behavioral, and individual support plans.

Job Summary
Direct Support Professionals

(DSPs) provide daily support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, helping them live independently, safely, and meaningfully in their communities. This is a rewarding entry-level healthcare and human services role with paid training and growth opportunities. No prior experience required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and household routines
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and medication support according to training and care plans
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, work, errands, and community activities

Schedule and Location

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Available shifts include 8am 3pm and 3pm-10pm.
• Work occurs in residential homes and community-based settings

Pay and Compensation

• Hourly pay range $16.00 to $17.00 per hour
• Shift differentials may apply based on schedule and coverage needs
