Job summary

EON, Inc. in Walker, MN seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help adults and children in our community with daily living tasks. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, including every other weekend, and paid hourly wages starting at $16.00–$16.50.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and daily living activities.
• Assist with bedtime routines, administering medications, physical therapy, etc.
• Support and teach independent living skills such as routines, meal prep, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Help individuals access the community and participate in recreation and leisure activities.
• Resolve challenging situations as they arise.

Benefits Category: This is an hourly, non-exempt, position. Benefits eligible if working 30 or more hours per week. PTO eligible if working 35 or more hours per week. ESOP benefits upon meeting plan entry requirements.

Schedule: P art-time position available with flexible scheduling (i ncludes every other weekend ).

A DSP must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. As a DSP you must have the ability to exercise flexibility and assertiveness, have a positive work ethic, problem solve, and navigate challenging situations effectively. A DSP must also be able to work without direct supervision.

Residential Services:

• Assisting individuals with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and other daily living functions.
• Assisting individuals with bedtime routines, administering medications, physical therapy, etc.
• Supporting and teaching individuals independent living skills i.e.: routines, meal prep, cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, proper hygiene, medications, appointments, shopping, etc.
• Assisting individuals in accessing the community and participating in recreation and leisure activities.
• Assisting to resolve challenging situations as they arise.
