Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey.

Day, evening, and weekend shifts are available. Training is provided, with pathways for career growth. Competitive pay ($21.50–$26.50 per hour) and flexible schedules support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Background checks required (including DDD screenings).
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Experience with I/DD preferred but not required.

• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.

• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.

Serenity is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized
• Provide safe transportation
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle
• Ability to pass required background checks and DDD screenings
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.
