Job summary

Serenity Day Habilitation is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with I/DD in homes and communities across New Jersey. We offer day, evening, and weekend shifts with flexible scheduling and paid training.

Competitive pay ranges from $21.50 to $26.50 per hour, with opportunities for career growth and meaningful, person-centered support. Join our team and help clients achieve independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Age 18 or older.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and DDD screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication and the ability to work independently.

$21.50–$26.50 per hour

Serenity is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized
• Provide safe transportation
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle
• Ability to pass required background checks and DDD screenings
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.
