Job summary

Serenity, LLC in New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Day, evening, and weekend shifts are available, with flexible scheduling. Paid training and competitive pay are offered, along with opportunities for career growth and meaningful, one-on-one work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age 18.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and DDD screenings.

• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.

• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.

Full-Time | Part-Time | Per Diem
$21.50–$26.50 per hour

Serenity is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized
• Provide safe transportation
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle

• Smartphone or computer access for documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.
