Job summary

Wellspring Lutheran Services (Bethesda Homes) is seeking Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals to live with dignity, independence, and choice in a residential setting. You'll provide personal care, support daily activities, and help participants pursue meaningful goals while fostering a safe home environment.

Per diem, hourly role in Michigan, with paid training, flexible schedule, and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to support individuals with dignity and respect.
• Commitment to learning and professional growth.
• No prior experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and daily routines while treating each person with dignity.
• Support individuals in pursuing personal goals and participating in meaningful activities.
• Administer medications and coordinate appointments as needed.
• Engage in community outings and social activities to promote independence.
• Contribute to Individual Support Plans by observing progress and identifying growth opportunities.
• Help create a safe, welcoming residence where individuals feel valued and connected.
