Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide quality living support for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the community. The role includes helping with daily activities, personal care, and community engagement.

Hours include Saturday and Sunday 11 AM – 7 PM; you will work as part of a trauma-informed team that values dignity, compassion, and respect. Training and ongoing support are provided to ensure participant-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver2s license with 2+ years of driving and no more than 3 points.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and provide physical assistance.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Support community engagement, including walks or local events.
• Be a steady presence during family visits, milestones, or shared moments.
• Advocate for each persons rights and help build confidence and self-esteem.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.
