RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional for the Waiver program (Park Lane). This full-time, 2nd shift role focuses on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health and substance use challenges in home and community settings.

You will advocate, coach and assist clients to achieve personal goals and live independently. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and strong communication and conflict

Qualifikationen

• HS diploma or GED required or preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Some computer skills preferred
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to maintain good attendance and confidentiality
• Decision making and teamwork abilities

Aufgaben

• Promote healthy living and prevent illness and accidents.
• Support self-advocacy and individual choice in care.
• Accompany clients to work, outings, shopping and community activities.
• Teach independent living skills.
• Provide transportation to appointments.
• Foster positive relationships within the community.
• Encourage decision-making about living, work, and social relationships.
• Assist with personal care and light home tasks (laundry, cleaning, decorating).
• Document the care you provide.
• Educate on human, legal, and civil rights.
• Understand diverse challenges and use advocacy strategies.
• Connect clients with resources for career, education, volunteering, etc.
• Promote effective communication.
• Assist in medication administration where state law allows.
• Protect confidentiality.
