Job summary

Friendship Community Care, Inc. in Ola, AR is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

You will assist with daily living tasks, provide transportation, and document care while following the client’s plan of care to ensure safety, health, and well‑being. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two+ years' experience with developmentally disabled individuals
• Must also have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to interpret basic data
• Reasoning ability to carry out written or oral instructions and schedules

Responsibilities

• Assists Clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks (showers, dressing, housekeeping, meals, budgeting)
• Provides transportation to activities/appointments with Arkansas driver’s license
• Maintains communication via logs and meetings about clients’ needs and progress
• Completes required documentation (Behavioral/Incident/Forms, Progress Reports, Attendance Logs)
• Follows medication management guidelines and monitors procedures
• Organizes and carries out recreational activities for clients
• Represents FCC with professionalism and adheres to dress code
• Maintains FCC facilities and vehicles; participates in training and records maintenance
