Job summary

Omega Day Centers in Manassas, VA is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build independence, confidence, and community connections.

As a DSP you will assist with daily living, personal care, life skills, and community outings while documenting progress and communicating with families and support teams. No degree is required; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are needed to travel within the community.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation with current insurance.
• Ability to travel within the community.
• Ability to pass required background and drug screenings.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living, personal care, and life skills.
• Encourage independence, choice, confidence, and personal goals.
• Support community outings, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and social experiences.
• Help individuals explore interests, develop skills, and reach milestones.
• Communicate with families, caregivers, supervisors, and support teams.
• Follow individualized service plans and complete required documentation.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
