Job summary

Alpha Supported Living Services in Bothell, WA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist adults with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. You will support daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment under supervision of a Program Supervisor.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, a WA driver’s license, and the ability to provide personal care.

Qualifications

• A DSP who treats participants with dignity and consideration.
• Knowledge of personal care, emotional support, and medical administration practices.
• Physically able to provide personal care and transfer clients.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients and provide informal counseling; support problem-solving.
• Assist with daily needs: hygiene, meals, housekeeping, shopping, health monitoring, medication supervision.
• Assist with accessing community outings; operate agency vehicle as needed.
• Complete required shift documentation: medication records, behavior tracking, incident and financial records.
• Assist with medical needs: vital signs, transferring, positioning, tube feeding.
• Operate equipment (hoyer lift, shower chairs, suction machines, medicine crusher).
• Provide positive behavior support to clients.
